Aladdin (Mena Massoud) is a sweet street hustler and petty thief. He and his monkey steal small trinkets to trade for food and money. When Aladdin finds a special lamp and a genie (Will Smith) pops out, he uses his wishes to pretend to be a prince to try to win the hand of Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott). The evil Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) also wants that lamp and Princess Jasmine. This leads to a battle of wits between the two with the Kingdom hanging in the balance.

This is the live action remake of the animated Aladdin. It is colorful and action-packed, with plenty of soaring ballads and other songs. Even Will Smith does a little singing. The movie is entertaining and fun. It just isn't quite as good as the animated version. That one was so funny. But, this one is perfect for the whole family. The CGI is pretty good. I loved the tiger and the monkey. It will make the kids happy and keep the adults entertained. So, go see it.
