This is the story of a group of college friends who reunite for a long weekend after one of the friends, Alex, attempts suicide. The cast includes Jason Ritter as Alex, Nate Parker, Maggie Grace, Max Minghella, Max Greenfield, Jane Levy and Aubrey Plaza (and Devon as Timmy the dog!). The friends show up to keep an eye on Alex as he recuperates. Of course, the reunion stirs up old relationships and resentments as the friends try to sort through why Alex did what he did. And, they are forced to take a look at their lives since college and face the changing nature of relationships and friendships.
This is being called the Big Chill of the Facebook/Twitter generation. It isn't quite that good but it is entertaining and all of the characters are interesting. It is funny and emotional. All of the actors are great, especially Max Greenfield (Schmidt to fans of New Girl). He just steals all of his scenes with his horrible outlook on life. Anyway, I liked this movie. It keeps your interest and even though it revolves around attempted suicide, it ends up being funny and touching. Go see it or you can watch it on Video on Demand.
