Runs 100 minutes

A-X-L (Attack, Exploration, Logistics) is a top-secret robotic dog created by the military. It represents the future of artificial inteligence and is meant to bond with its handler and protect him at all costs in dangerous situations. Somehow, A-X-L escapes from the lab and is discovered by teenage motorcross racer Miles (Alex Neustaedter). The robot dog and the boy form a bond and when the military comes looking for its property, Miles must team up with Sara (Becky G) to protect the dog from being captured and taken back to the lab. Can Miles and Sara help A-X-L escape before it is too late?

Ok. This movie is pretty predictable and is exactly what I was expecting. I knew I would end up feeling sorry for a robot dog! And, I did. The story line is simple and most of the acting is average at best. (Thomas Jane as Mile's Dad brings a little life to the movie.) But, the robot dog is very cool. I really did think the technology was pretty neat. The dog moved and acted like a real dog. Kinda cool. But, not really worth rushing to the theater to see. If you have a ten year-old, then maybe they would like it. Otherwise, I would skip it.
