Lucas (Jonah Hauer-King) rescues a sweet puppy and takes her in. He and his Mother Terri (Ashley Judd) give her a wonderful home. But, the evil dog-catcher is out to get the pup because he claims she is a Pit Bull. Lucas decides to send her to live with a family over 400 miles away to keep her safe. But, the sweet pup misses Lucas and faces all kinds of danger and peril as she treks across the Colorado wilderness to make it back to her real family.

Ok. I love a good dog movie. This one won't win any Oscars but it will win your heart if you love dogs. The dog in this movie is just adorable. I watched the preview several times to make sure that nothing bad happens to the dog in the end. Spoiler Alert - the dog makes it back home. I thought the film was sweet and perfect for the whole family, with plenty of drama as the dog tries to make it back to Lucas. Take the kids and go see this sweet movie.
