Kate (Charlotte Rampling) and Geoff (Tom Courtenay) are nearing the eve of their 45th wedding anniversary and are in the midst of planning a big celebration. Kate and Geoff are great companions and happy. They live a nice retired country life. They walk their dog and putter around their property. When Geoff is notified that the body of his old girlfriend Katya has been found after all these years, the couple is thrown into a tailspin and their life will be forever changed.

This movie gets 4 1/2 stars for the acting alone. Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay are both fanatstic. They feel like an old married couple. There isn't much to the movie. It moves slowly and a lot of the small resentments that start to bubble up are implied and not really openly discussed. There is no giant twist but there are a few moments when things are revealed that do make an impact. I enjoyed this movie. No car chases or explosions, just a master class in acting. If you like smaller films like this, then go see it!
